he State funeral of Kathleen Clarke, widow of executed 1916 leader Tom Clarke, in the Pro-Cathedral, Dublin. Kathleen Clarke was a founding member of Cumann na mBan, served as a senator 1928-36 and was the first female Lord mayor of Dublin 1939-43. Her brother, Ned Daly was also executed in 1916. Pictured passing the coffin are Minister for Justice, Des O'Malley and Minister for Labour, Joe Brennan. An Taoiseach, Mr Jack Lynch, is kneeling to the right.
