Charles Bradlaugh (1833-1891) English politician, free-thinker and social reformer. Lectured under the name 'Iconoclast'. Elected Member of Parliament for Northampton in 1880, refused to swear the oath of allegiance and expelled. Re-elected and rejected until 1886 when he finally took the oath.
