North Wall frieze from Abydos, Egypt. 19th Dynasty 1291-1279 Rein of Seti I. Depicts Ramses II making offerings to his dead father Seti Chapel for Ramses I. Limestone. The site of Abydos lies on the west bank of the Nile in Upper Egypt, some 275 miles south of modern Cairo and 60 miles northwest of Luxor (ancient Thebes).
