Cutting first sod for the Irish-Swiss Institute of Horology, Blanchardstown, Dublin. The institute, that was to hold courses in watch repairing,was due to an agreement between the Department of Education and the Swiss Watch Industry. Photographed at the ceremony were (l-r): Mr. Michail O'Flanagan, Chairman of the Institute; Mr. Julien Rossat, Swiss Ambassador to Ireland; Mr. george Colley, Minister for Education; Mr. Andre Chappuis; Mr. Max Lohner and Mr. P.A. Tschudin, delegates of the Swiss Watch Industry and Mr. Marc E. Golay, Director of the Institute.
