Two Irish army officers appointed to the staff of General Carl Carlsson von Horn, Commander of the United Nations forces in the Congo. Colonel Harry W. Byrne, (formerly o/c 1st Brigade, Cork) appointed as Brigade Commander of the 32nd and 33rd Infantry battalions in the Congo and Comandant. Eamonn Doyle, member of the Signal Corps appointed to the operations staff of General von Horn. Picture shows: Chief Of Staff Colonel P. Hally, Colonel Harry W.
