Effigy of Don Garcia De Osorio (1499-1505). Alabaster, Toledo, Spain. Don Garcia, a knight of the Order of Santiago was buried in the church of San Pedro in Toledo. Though he wears chain mail and armour, his helmet has been removed and placed at his feet with a symbolic figure of mourning. His wife's effigy nearly has a similar figure at her feet.
