T F O’Higgins, a candidate in the 1966 Presidential Election, casts his vote at Dalkey Town Hall, accompanied by his wife, and two of his sons, Shane (left), and Michael (right). O’Higgins came within 1% (or 10,000 votes) of defeating outgoing president Eamon de Valera.
