Nitra-Shell 23 cargo discharged at New Ross, Co. Wexford. The "M.V. Roelf Buisman" from Rotterdam on it's first visit to New Ross delivering 500 ton of Nitra -Shell 23 the first consignment of 23% Nitrogen imported into Ireland. Messrs. Albatross Windmill Fertiliser Co. Ltd. were the importers. Picture shows Mr. Edward Francis Storey, Edgewold, New Ross, Managing Director of Albatross Windmill Fertiliser Co. Ltd., New Ross and Vice Chairman of Shell-Albatross Ltd. He was a native of Wicklow and apart from having spent seven years at sea in the merchant navy he was always associated with the seed and fertiliser industry. Married and interested in fishing and gardening.
