Fergus Rowan, a Dublin seed merchant, and members of his family stage a sit in at Bank of Ireland HQ in Westmoreland Street, Dublin. Following the 1970 bank strike the family business found itself in financial difficulties, having accepted cheques in good faith, which were declined by the bank, as 'dodgy'. The business was eventually put into receivership.
