As part of his interest in Ireland, Congressman Brian Donnelly promoted a visa scheme to allow Irish people easy entry into America. The congressman came to the American Embassy in Dublin to present the new visas, known as the Donnelly visas, to those lucky enough to obtain the visas in the first draw.
