The Tanaiste, Mr Dick Spring TD was on hand to present the awards...Photograph of Shane Donovan,.Silverdale Road,Ballinlough,Cork being awarded the Runner-up Individual Award By Tanaiste Mr Dick Spring. Dr Michael Dargan,Chairman,Aer Lingus is also pictured..Shane submitted a project called "The quality of water in the aquifiers of the Cork regionwith reference to industrial development". Thisis Shane's third entry into the competition. Last year Shane won the "Chemistry Association Of Ireland Award"..This year as part of his prize,Shane, will be invited to attend the European Space Agency Base on the occasion of the space craft "Giotto" meeting "Halleys Comet".
