Arrival of Dr Carl H. Hahn of Volkswagen at Dublin Airport.
Dr. Hahn, Sales and Service Director, Volkswagenwerke, A.G., Germany, arrived in Ireland on the company plane. He was President of Volkswagen of America. He had recently returned to Wolfsburg and was visiting Ireland as part of a brief European tour to familiarise himself with local conditions. Image shows on left Mr. Michael P. O'Flaherty, Chairman Volkswagen Distributers Ltd. and Mr. Dermod Ryan, General Manager Volkswagen Distributers Ltd., on right are Dr. Hahn and Mr. Stephen O'Flaherty. In centre are Mr. E. Schneider and Mr. U. (?) P. Kiesewetter, Factory Delegates for North West Europe. Aircraft is a Beechcraft Kingaire. Car appears to be a Volkswagen Type 3.
