Cutting first sod for the Irish-Swiss Institute of Horology, Blanchardstown, Dublin. The institute, that was to hold courses in watch repairing,was due to an agreement between the Department of Education and the Swiss Watch Industry. Picture shows Mr. P.J. Flynn, Chairman, Co. Dublin Vocational Education Committee addressing the gathering. Mr. George Colley, Minister for Education, on right of speaker.
