Cardinal John Cody, Archbishop of Chicago, received by President Eamon de Valera at Aras an Uachtarain. Cardinal Cody (elevated to Cardinal on June 26, 1967) was leading a pilgrimage of 350 American pilgrims, who were to visit the shrine of Blessed Oliver Plunkett in Drogheda on his feast day the 19th July.
