'The Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry Is a French Gothic illuminated manuscript. The Très Riches Heures is a prayer book created for John, Duke of Berry, by the Limbourg brothers between 1412 and 1416. The book was completed by Jean Colombe between 1485 and 1489. The manuscript is held at the Musée Condé, Chantilly, France. this folio (March)shows a peasant ploughing a field with a plod pulled by two oxen. Wine growers prune the vine and till the soil with a hoe. In the background is the castle of Lusignan (Poitou), owned by the Duke of Berry.'
