May Day Demonstration March. (N72).
1st May 1981.
As part of International Workers Day the Irish Congress of Trades Unions organised a protest march in Dublin. The march to Dail Éireann was to highlight the inequities in wages,taxes etc carried by the working classes in Ireland. The May Day protest in Dublin was mirrored across Europe.
An image of the 'Talbot' workers as the march in the May day parade. They were highlighting ongoing difficulties that they were having with their employers and government agencies.
