"Topping Off" Jury's Hotel new extension. Watching John McCale (Cabe?) and Tony O'Neill "Topping Off" the 100ft high new extension to Jury's Hotel were John O'Brien, Chairman and Wilhelm Opperman, General Manager, Jury's Hotel Ltd. In the new wing each room was air conditioned and temperature controlled. The structure of the building was of reinforced concrete - about 4,000 cubic yards of concrete and 360 tons of reinforcing bars. The building contractors were M.J. Davis Ltd. and the architects were Kidney and Co.
